I saw the Day after Tomorrow movie this weekend. Overall, I thought it was great. Quite a few reviews were negative about the plot, but I thought it moved pretty smoothly. Dennis Quaid put in a good performance, and I'm was touched by the father/son bonding subplot. Funnily enough, Independence day (by the same director) also had a strong father/son subplot.
Destiny is my science fiction movie about the future of humanity. It's an epic, similar in breadth and scope to 2001: A Space Odyssey.
