Arise, Sir Bill
According to this article, Bill Gates will be knighted tomorrow by the Queen of England. As part of the ceremony, Gates will kneel in front of the Queen and be tapped on the shoulder with a sword. Strictly speaking, he won't be able to use the prefix "Sir" because he's not from a commonwealth country, but I bet that the phrase "Sir Bill" becomes common around Microsoft.
On a related issue, Gates used to run an "Ask Bill" column on the Microsoft web site, and out of all the possible questions I could have posted, the one I chose was "Why don't you wear contact lenses?" Sadly, I never received a response.
