Cool design. The class page has a lot of hierarchical information chewing up the screen. And the drop down menu will get lost as the student reads the page and it scroll off the top. Could you do something like apps do with navigation panes to make hierarchical nav easier?

Thanks for your feedback! We based the design on a combination of Facebook and CNN.com, which uses the dropdown menus to good effect.
I'm not familiar with navigation panes. Do you have a link to an example?
