I've got a soft spot for Opera because I used to sing opera at the Royal Opera house in London when I was a kid. So I recently decided to join BRAVO!, San Francisco's opera society, and will start attending some of the local opera performances. I will blog about the performances once they get going.
I just got back from the opening night of the Police Tour in Vancouver; it was awesome! All members of the band were in fine form and they seemed to really enjoy being back on the road together.

The Police is one of my favorite bands, and they're about to kick off their reunion tour. Unfortunately, they're not scheduled to perform in San Francisco, so if you're like me and don't want to miss them play, check out their Canadian venues.
Latitude 88 North is another Electric Light Orchestra song that wasn't released until recently as an extra track on Out of the Blue. Here's the video.
One of my favorite bands is the Electric Light Orchestra, so imagine my delight when I found this alternative recording for Heaven only knows on Youtube. It's much better than the version on the official release of Balance of Power.
