Cassini going into orbit around Saturn

Cassini is going to be the first spacecraft to orbit Saturn. It has traveled 2.1 billion miles to get there, and the photos should be spectacular! Mankind sure is capable of doing remarkable things when it puts it mind to it; something worth bearing in mind while the Iraq situation weighs heavy in our hearts.

The Day after Tomorrow

I saw the Day after Tomorrow movie this weekend. Overall, I thought it was great. Quite a few reviews were negative about the plot, but I thought it moved pretty smoothly. Dennis Quaid put in a good performance, and I'm was touched by the father/son bonding subplot. Funnily enough, Independence day (by the same director) also had a strong father/son subplot.

Bowflex good so far

After spending three evenings assembling the Bowflex exercise machine, I finally tried it out. The first time, a 20 minute trial workout, was pretty good. Compared with a regular gym, it's not quite as smooth because you often have to make minor adjustments to the machine between exercises, but what's a few seconds here and there? Home Recording

I've always loved composing and playing music, and it's something I haven't done enough of recently. So tonight I ordered some new hardware and software that will allow me to start doing it again. For those who are interested, the hardware is a Edirol UA1000 10-Channel 24/96 Audio Interface and the software is Cakewalk SONAR Producer.

First Official Post

Well, I've finally switched over from my old User Radioland blog to my new TypePad-based blog. In addition, I've decided to start using capital letters again. I don't know exactly what this means; feel free to post your amateur psychological readings on this one!

Good Progress

Made more good progress today; figured out how to add books, music, people and other such trimmings. I hope to switch over from Radio at the end of the week.
