I just finished reading the Christmas Train, a beautiful story about a man that takes a trip across the US one Christmas in order to fulfil a promise made to his now-deceased father. Several unexpected events take place on the way which ultimately give him a chance to reverse a decision that has haunted him for years. The ending has some fun twists, and I think it could actually make a pretty decent movie.
