Here's part 9 of my home recording series; part 8 is here.
I wrote this song while I was doing my Master's degree at the University of Texas at Dallas. The reference to London was because I was still a little homesick at the time. My favorite part of this song is the funky bass part. I also like the way that the song finishes on the last "everytime".

Everytime
copyright 1985 by Graham Glass
I've always been a lover,
Keeping warm beneath the covers.
And a lady makes me feel good,
Just like I should.
I've always been a fighter,
Holding on a little tighter.
And it gets me where I'm going,
Without a doubt.
London town is bringing back
The memories of all I've done.
Yeah the fights, the dances,
And the ones I've loved.
I've always been a dancer,
Moving bodies are the answer,
And I leave the world behind me,
Just wait and see.
London town is bringing back
The memories of all I've done.
Yeah the fights, the dances,
And the ones I've loved.
Everytime you touch me,
And everytime you kiss me,
It makes me want to be with you some more.
Shout it out, yeah.
Shout it out, yeah.
I've always been a lover,
Keeping warm beneath the covers.
And a lady makes me feel good,
Just like I should.
London town is bringing back
The memories of all I've done.
Yeah the fights, the dances,
And the ones I've loved.
Everytime you touch me,
And everytime you kiss me,
It makes me want to be with you some more.
Everytime you touch me,
And everytime you kiss me,
Everytime....
