We just flipped the DNS switch so that http://www.edu20.org now points to the live public beta. If you're interested, please give the EDU 2.0 site a spin and let me know what you think.
The vision for EDU 2.0 is to harness the community to provide high-quality education for children at school and at home. The first version includes the ability for anyone to upload an educational material such as a presentation, exercise, quiz or course so it can be used by teachers and students around the world. It also includes classic features such as classroom management, assignment management/grading, and graphical plotting of student results.
The really cool stuff is yet to come; there are just so many other ways to harness the community and fundamentally improve the way that children learn! But you have to start somewhere, and I think the public beta is a good first step towards our vision.
