Alexa Traffic for Edu 2.0

For fun, I decided to get the latest Alexa rankings for edu 2.0 and some other popular learning management systems (LMS). Here are some figures that include the number of years since the systems were released and the Alexa traffic ranking:

Blackboard: 11 years, #1,100
Moodle: 7 years, #12,097
Angel: 8 years, #13,065
Dokeos: 9 years, #44,955
Sakai: 4 years, #125,305
EDU 2.0: 2 years, #220,587

I'm actually very happy with these figures. Although EDU 2.0 is just a newcomer, we're growing at 5% a week and so I expect us to rise up the rankings quite fast (our traffic rose by 86% in the last 3 months). None of our recently released competitors even appear in the Alexa rankings! I will post updated numbers every month or so.

EDU 2.0 Interview

Amazing Ant Architecture

A colony of Ants exhibits most, if not all, the characteristics of a Mind. Each ant performs a fairly simple duty, but they coordinate in creative ways to accomplish higher-level tasks.

The following video illustrates the kind of architecture that a colony Mind is capable of. Be sure to watch it to the end when the full extend of the Ant nest is revealed.
