About a year ago, I noted the Alexa US rankings for some popular LMS sites. Here's the updated version, with the company name, the age of the company, its ranking last year, and the current ranking.
Blackboard: 12 years old, #1,100 -> #405
Moodle: 8 years old, #12,097 -> #7,658
Sakai: 5 years old, #125,305 -> #75,369
EDU 2.0: 3 years old, #220,587 -> #84,331
It's pretty cool that EDU 2.0 has broken the top 100,000 web sites in the US, and closed the gap on some of the other sites!
